Devangelic stands among the most ferocious and recognizable forces in modern brutal death metal. Formed in Rome in August 2012, the band quickly established its identity through an unrelenting sound that fuses sonic devastation, dark atmospheres, and a songwriting approach devoted to the genre’s most extreme edge. After recording two promo tracks at 16th Cellar Studio, they caught the attention of U.S. label Comatose Music, leading to their 2014 debut “Resurrection Denied”, praised for its crushing brutality and its ability to renew the genre’s primordial essence. Constant touring across the U.S. and Europe and appearances at major festivals expanded their global presence. Further albums “Phlegethon” (2017), “Ersetu” (2020), and “Xul” (2023) refined their blend of intensity, mysticism, and oppressive atmospheres. Today, Devangelic remains a relentless pillar of contemporary brutal death metal.
